What is Supported living?
Supported living is a fantastic option if you are looking to live as independently as possible, and do not feel a care home setting is appropriate, but would with the comfort of support to hand if you need it.
Supported living provides the perfect balance of support and independence, and support can be completely customised around your needs. Much like renting a property independently, all of our supported living residents receive a tenancy agreement, with the addition of a tailored support plan to meet your needs, with as much or little input as you need.
Our specially trained team work with you to help you feel confident in the community and our beautiful, well maintained facilities offer a safe living space for as long as you feel you want to be there. The team want you to feel empowered to take control of your life and our housing and support is planned around your requirements. You will learn how to make everyday decisions, such as what to cook for dinner or how to manage money with the support of our team.
We will help you discover what is available locally to you and help you to participate. If you decide you want to get more involved in your local community, we will support you every step of the way. We encourage you to do as much for yourself as possible, with the knowledge that our team is on hand to support you whenever the need arises.
You may also be entitled to funding from your local authority. Supported living can also offer you support services if you have previously lived in residential care and are able to return to your own home. We have a range of clients receiving local authority funding support, are in receipt of a direct payment, or privately funded services. Find out more about your funding options here.
